FIRE BAN IN EFFECT IMMEDIATELY
The ALEOA Board has adopted the following policy effective immediately:
 
All outdoor burning is prohibited between June 1 and October 15. This includes, without limitation, outdoor wood or charcoal fires even when in a pit or other containment. The prohibition does not apply to propane.
 
The Firewise Committee has put together a flyer with information to help you prepare for an event we all hope never happens. If we do get an evacuation notice, it is better to be prepared than scrambling last minute. Please take a look at this new flyer. Save it, print it out and post it on your refrigerator, whatever works for you. Please use it to make sure you are ready.
 
 
There is an updated version of the "Fire-resistant Plants for Home Landscapes." This is a great resource for understanding how to make your home more fire resistant.
